Mental Health Poster Series

Deep, moody colors create the backdrop for this poster series illustrating mental health issues. A sense of isolation and eeriness is invoked through the use of enclosed containers and dark forest imagery. The use of inverted trees and layering effects further the feeling of wrongness invoked within each composition. Each poster features a typographical treatment that fades out to further illustrate the altered mental states that these disorders can cause. The deep, heavy colors are contrasted by the stark light color of the bottoms of the posters where the imagery fades away into the definition of the disorder it is illustrating. Definition-style word breakdowns are utilized for the disorder names as a visual representation of the need for a better understanding of mental health issues.
